Restorative justice opens direct dialogue between victims and offenders, their families and support networks, in the presence of a mediator. In a safe space, those who have differences talk freely, hear each other and find agreement: They heal what has been broken. They seek full and direct accountability. They reunite what has been divided. They strengthen their community to prevent further harms.
